OUR STORY
We used to hold meetings at Blackenhurst Conference centre, that could only accommodate 200 ladies.
The church eventually gave the ladies a 4 acre plot in Kasarani where we started holding the annual conference in 2008 in hired tents.
In 2011, the long building journey for the conference facility started.

Today we pride in 44 finished rooms equipped with beds and 44 more almost ready awaiting beds and bedding yet to be bought.
44 more rooms are coming up when we fix the roof and when the necessary finishing is done.
We currently use hired tents as meeting place. This will continue until we do the 1000 pax hall, kitchen, dining and administration facility.A number of fundraising events have been organised.
The committee ladies give monthly.
Small bank loans have been taken( depending on the ability of the ladies to repay).
Once jn a while we get paying visitors for the grounds n rooms.
Lack of a dining n kitchen facility is a problem n a hinderance for groups willing to rent space.
The committee has about 60 ladies drawn from all over Kenya .
There are sub committees that work together reporting to the Executive
PROJECT HISTORY
Africa Inland Church (AIC) Kenya women hold prayers on the second week-end of May every year. This was started in the early Seventies and the venue has always been Brackenhurst Centre in Limuru. This began as a Prayer meeting for Missionaries where they would come and share experiences of the areas where they served. During every meeting they gave a love offering, to support the work of God especially in the area most in need.
The Women have always found it to be a wonderful time of sharing God’s work and praying as they are ministered to by invited speakers. They also came with suggestions of Projects from their areas of service which they felt needed support. They contributed then voted, so that whichever Project won it was supported from the collections of prayer meeting.
Over the years, more and more ladies have been attending this conference and the many times some would find the cost too high and could not attend, as prices kept rising. In the early Seventies, the cost for the whole weekend was only US$3, by now the cost of one weekend this year is US$ 65 and the capacity is not sufficient any more.

It has been the prayer of AIC Women to put up a Prayer Conference Centre. Last year (2007) as the ladies were at the retreat, the Lord showed them a vision that they need to put up a facility where:-The Cost would be affordable.
The Cost would be affordable.
• Can have a capacity to host over 1,000 people
• It can be an income generating project for women to enable them support missionary work.
• The church can use to train and equip people to further the Kingdom of God.
This
idea was shared with the Bishop of AIC Kenya on 6th June, 2007 by a
committee of 20 ladies elected at the Prayer Meeting in Limuru in May,
2007. He welcomed the idea and promised to take it to the Executive of
Barazaa Kuu, the Board of the whole church in Kenya. The idea was
welcomed, and they authorized that the Ladies Committee be allocated 5
acre land in Kasarani, Nairobi, where the church had an existing plot.
Since then, the Ladies have been very busy talking to the Architect, planning ways and means of collecting funds.
A
letter was sent to all the churches in Kenya to have all the ladies
register themselves with an amount that the Lord would guide them.
Receipt books were printed, issued to them and the account number was
given to them so that as they collect the money, bank and only forward
the deposit slip. This is going on and so far as of 8th March, 2008 the
collection which has come to the bank is K.Shs. 925,391 (US $13,220)
this Programme is ongoing although not many churches have forwarded
their contributions.
The estimated cost of the project is between
K.Shs 350M - K.Shs. 400M (Approximately US$ 5.0M – 5.8M). We know we
are serving a rich God who owns everything because the facility is for
His Honour and Glory.
